Fulcrum Pendant Light

Fulcrum Pendant Lamp (FPL) demonstrates the concept of balance in Chinese culture. The form of FPL resembles the cornices used in ancient Chinese buildings to create a lighter balance of a heavy, complex structure.

It is an ecological lighting that is made of wood and it uses energy-saving LED as light source. FPL can be easily assembled with the use of dowel pins without extra fasteners.

The light source of Fulcrum Pendant Light (FPL) reacts dynamically according to the balance of the lamp.

The lamp body is balanced on a center pivot and tilts when subjected to a physical disturbance. The lighting intensity at the higher side of the tilt will be dimmed towards an “off” state, while light intensity at the lower side accumulates.

The sequence continues until the lamp regains its equilibrium position, and the lighting is evenly distributed.
